Hello! I’m Kate.
I am a coach and licensed therapist helping thoughtful millennials create meaningful friendships and find their place in community.
If friendship feels harder than it should, you’re not alone. I’ve been there.
Growing up, I never struggled to make friends. But adulthood was a different story. All of a sudden, I had lost the structure and shared context that once made connections feel easy.
Between school, work, and everything else, friendships slipped lower on the priority list while my anxiety around connection crept steadily higher. When attempts to connect fizzled or felt awkward, I pulled back. I told myself I was fine on my own, and for a long time, I was. I’ve always been independent and comfortable in my own company.
But under the surface, I was scared – scared of rejection, of not belonging, of being misunderstood.
The pandemic amplified everything. Social anxiety went from a low hum to a screech. I felt rusty and so far away from other people I was unsure of how to show up, or what I even wanted.
Then I hit a turning point.
Maybe you’ve had one too – a big life change, a moment of clarity, or simply a nagging truth you can’t ignore anymore. For me, it took a huge life change to make me get honest with myself that I wanted more – more closeness, more ease, more support. I stopped trying to figure it out alone. And I started showing up differently — first with myself, then with others.
It wasn’t overnight, but it stuck.
Today, I feel at home with the people in my life. I’ve built friendships that feel mutual, steady, and true to who I really am.
This is what I help others do, too.
I coach thoughtful millennials who are tired of feeling stuck and ready to build the friendships and community they’ve been missing. If connection feels out of reach, it’s not your fault. But it is your move.
And you don’t have to figure it out alone.
